Join us In Person every Wednesday evening at the Warwick Valley Community Center, 11 Hamilton Avenue, Warwick NY 10990. If you’re coming for the first time, please be there at 6:45 for instruction, even if you have prior meditation experience.

Everyone is welcome, regardless of experience or faith tradition (or lack thereof). Warwick Zen is committed to sharing the practice of zen meditation and building a community of inclusion and exploration to deepen our appreciation of our lives and the life of the world around us.

Warwick Zen is a zen practice group offering weekly zazen and support for zen practice in Warwick, NY. Our focus is on building community and providing a platform for the exploration of zen practice and sincere inquiry into our lives. Warwick Zen is an affiliate of Yokoji Zen Mountain Center, and is led by Jacob Seiryo Gendelman, a student of Tenshin Fletcher Roshi, Abbot of Yokoji. Jacob began formal zen practice in 1988 with Taizan Maezumi Roshi at the Zen Center of Los Angeles. He received Jukai (formally taking the Buddhist precepts) from Maezumi Roshi and Tokudo (priest ordination) from Tenshin Roshi. Jacob is an Associate member of the Soto Zen Buddhist Association.
